About the Business
The company was set up by Thomas Bates approximately 20 years ago, initially operating as a Tyre and MOT centre at Outwood House, Wilmlsow Road in Heald Green. Customers nicknamed Tom "TOMMY TYRES" and although not our official name it is one that is recognised locally. We moved to our current premises in Sharston in January 2010. In September 2010, we were approved by VOSA as an MOT Test Centre for class IV passenger cars. We are not affiliated with any other MOT Test Centre or Vehicle Repair Workshop. When you book your vehicle in for an MOT test directly with us you are dealing with a VOSA approved test centre. We do not undertake servicing/repair work and are therefore not looking for any additional work resulting from a failed MOT test. We do however stock small items such as wiper blades and bulbs. Any repair work required for the MOT may be carried out at a garage of your choice with a FREE RETEST within 10 working days.
